Job Description
Accor is seeking a professional and courteous Waiter to join our hospitality team in Nairobi. The role involves providing efficient and flexible service across various food and beverage sub-departments while maintaining high standards of performance and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Standards of Performance.
Be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Manager and supervisor.
Perform opening and closing procedures established for the place of work as assigned.
Provide high standard of quality and efficient / friendly service as per Standard Operational Procedures.
Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
Read and understand the hotel’s Employee Handbook and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
Comply with local legislation as required.
Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Attributes: Positive attitude, well-spoken, and result-driven.
Competencies: Displays initiative and a commitment to professional values.
Mindset: Team creator, customer/people-oriented, creative, and open-minded.
