Volunteer Resource Person - Tharaka-Nithi

The main objective of this initiative is to significantly increase awareness and participation in the capital markets by effectively engaging various target groups, particularly at the County level, which aligns with CMA's mandate to promote investor education and public awareness throughout the country. This specific role is focused on Tharaka-Nithi County.

A small stipend will be provided for each engagement, subject to terms and conditions.

Responsibilities & Activities

The Volunteer Resource Person will primarily be responsible for:

• Conducting investor education speaking engagements targeting the general public.
• Engaging with various target groups, particularly within the County level.
• Handling public speaking duties and comfortably dealing with groups of approximately 30 people or more.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

CMA is seeking volunteers who possess the following:

• Educational Background: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
• Commitment: Must be passionate about giving back to society at the grassroot level.
• Market Knowledge: Familiarity with various aspects of the capital markets in Kenya.
• Experience: Some experience with events management and public speaking.
• Communication Comfort: Must be comfortable dealing with groups of approximately 30 people or more during presentations.
• Investment Interest: Must have personally invested, or have a strong interest, in shares and Bonds listed within the Nairobi Securities Exchanges and in Collective Investments Schemes (Unit Trusts).
