Volunteer Resource Person - Elgeyo Marakwet

The Role The Capital Markets Authority (CMA), a statutory agency responsible for regulating and developing efficient Capital Markets in Kenya, is seeking highly motivated volunteers for the role of Capital Markets Investor Education Volunteer Resource Person in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

This is an exciting opportunity for volunteers to conduct investor education speaking engagements targeting the general public, particularly at the County level, over a period of twenty-four (24) months on a part-time basis. The main objective of this initiative is to increase awareness and participation in the capital markets by effectively engaging the various target groups. This aligns with the Capital Markets Authority’s mandate to promote investor education and public awareness throughout the Country.

Note: A small stipend will be given for each engagement subject to terms and conditions.

Recruitment Requirements and Expectations CMA is looking for volunteer candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Passion and Community Engagement: Must be passionate about giving back to society at the grassroot level.
• Capital Markets Knowledge: Must be familiar with various aspects of the capital markets in Kenya.
• Public Engagement Experience: Must have some experience with events management and public speaking.
• Group Management: Must be comfortable dealing with groups of approximately 30 people or more.
• Investment Interest: Must have personally invested, or have a demonstrated interest, in shares and Bonds listed within the Nairobi Securities Exchanges and in Collective Investments Schemes (Unit Trusts).

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) is required.
