The role of Tutorial Fellow in Hospitality Management at Zetech University involves contributing significantly to the academic mission of the institution through teaching, curriculum development, research, and student mentorship. Duties and Responsibilities
- To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Designing, developing, planning, and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various academic levels.
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions effectively.
- Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, ensuring updates when required.
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the expansion of research activities.
- Carrying out research and actively writing research grant proposals.
- Seeking and participating in consultancy assignments.
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other relevant events.
- Dissemination of research outputs to the academic community and relevant stakeholders.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to both students and staff.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisors, or as detailed in the comprehensive job description.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Masters degree qualification in Hospitality Management obtained from an accredited University.
- A Bachelor's degree qualification in Hospitality Management or Hospitality and Tourism Management from an accredited University.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in university-level teaching and a proven track record in research experience.
- A strong understanding and familiarity with both kitchen and restaurant operations.
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality teaching standards and fostering a supportive and positive learning environment for students.
