Job Description
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Tutorial Fellow in the field of Environmental Studies. This is an academic position targeted at individuals with strong academic backgrounds who are looking to pursue a career in teaching and research within a university setting.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, the candidate must:
Possess a Master’s degree qualification from an accredited and recognized University.
Possess a Bachelor’s degree qualification from an accredited and recognized University.
Applicants with teaching and research experience in an institution of higher learning will have an added advantage.
Registration for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification will be an added advantage.
Role Purpose and Responsibilities
While specific duties are assigned by the department, a Tutorial Fellow is generally expected to:
Assist in conducting tutorials and practical sessions for undergraduate students.
Support senior faculty members in research projects and academic administration.
Pursue doctoral studies to progress to the level of Lecturer.
Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum review activities.
