Job Description
The Open University of Kenya is seeking qualified Part-Time Lecturers for its Business, Finance, and Economics programs. Role Overview
The role involves delivering high-quality academic instruction and student support within the digital learning framework of the university. Candidates must be proficient in managing digital content and facilitating learning via online platforms.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver lectures and facilitate tutorials in Business, Finance, and Economics via online and distance learning modes.
Curate and handle digital course content to meet the university's innovative teaching standards.
Support and mentor students in an online environment, ensuring academic success and engagement.
Collaborate with the faculty to ensure curriculum objectives are met in a flexible learning environment.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback within the digital learning system.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University.
Alternative Qualifications: A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (considered in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level. Candidates with a Master's degree MUST be registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
Technical Skills: Must be computer literate with a demonstrated ability to handle digital content and support students online.
Documentation: An updated CV including full academic details, professional qualifications, experience, membership with professional bodies, and names/addresses of three referees.
Compliance: Must provide copies of ID/Passport, academic certificates, and testimonials.
