Job Description
The Open University of Kenya aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to pursue their education efficiently. As a Part-Time Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Leadership Development, you will be responsible for delivering academic content via digital platforms and supporting students in an online environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and instructional materials in the fields of Human Resource Management and Leadership Development.
Develop and manage digital content tailored for online and distance learning.
Provide academic support and guidance to students through the university's online platforms.
Facilitate discussions and manage student assessments in a virtual classroom setting.
Requirements and Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR a Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level.
Candidates with a Master's degree must be registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
Must be computer literate with a proven ability to handle digital content.
Demonstrated ability to support students in an online/distance learning environment.
