The Technical Solar Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to achieve solar sales targets and expanding the customer base in Naivasha and the surrounding region. The role involves identifying and understanding customer requirements, designing appropriate technical solutions, and building sustainable market presence for renewable energy products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy: Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
Market Analysis: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and improve sales tactics.
Lead Generation: Proactively identify potential clients through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, ensuring consistent follow-up to convert opportunities into sales.
Consultative Selling: Conduct comprehensive consultations to assess energy needs and recommend suitable solar solutions (panels, batteries, and inverters).
Proposals & Negotiation: Prepare detailed technical sales proposals covering project scope, costs, and timelines, and negotiate terms to close deals.
Technical Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of solar products and technical specifications to educate clients.
Workshops: Conduct informational sessions and workshops for potential clients to promote solar energy solutions.
Project Coordination: Coordinate with installation and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and high customer satisfaction.
After-Sales Support: Follow up post-installation to address concerns and ensure system performance.
Reporting: Monitor performance against targets and provide regular progress reports to management.
Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials aligned with sales objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BSc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or a Bachelor of Commerce/Business Administration with professional qualifications in sales and marketing.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years' proven experience specifically in solar sales (solar panels, batteries, and inverters).
Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of PV Systems, Solar Water Heating (SWH), and Power Backup Systems (PBS).
Performance: A proven track record of delivering results beyond set targets.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence potential customers.
Negotiation: Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
Clarity: Ability to explain complex technical aspects of solar energy systems in an accessible manner to non-technical clients.
