Geminia Life Insurance is seeking a dedicated Team Leader/Unit Manager for an on-site position in Nairobi. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of a sales team to achieve defined targets and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring team members, setting performance goals, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Additionally, the role requires maintaining excellent customer service and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of a sales team to meet and exceed set targets.
Recruit, train, and mentor new and existing team members to build a high-performing unit.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and individual agents.
Monitor team performance metrics and implement effective strategies to drive business growth.
Ensure all team operations comply with insurance industry regulatory standards and internal company policies.
Maintain high standards of customer service and manage key client relationships effectively.
Develop and implement strategic plans for business expansion within the assigned unit.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience specifically within the insurance industry.
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sectors.
Must be Ecop compliant.
Must possess a valid 2026 IRA License.
