Job Description
Kabarnet University College (KUC) is a newly established public institution of higher learning created under the Universities Act, 2012. The institution is seeking to recruit a qualified individual for the position of Supply Chain Assistant – Procurement (Ref. KUC/ADM/03/4/2026). The officer will be responsible for providing support in the day-to-day management of purchasing, supplies, and stores activities to ensure efficient operational flow.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting Supply Chain Officers in the daily management of Purchasing, Supplies, and Stores activities.
Handling the filing and movement of documents between various sections within the department.
Dispatching procurement and stores documents for necessary signatures as directed by supervisors.
Maintaining comprehensive records of all receipts and ensuring bin cards in the stores are accurately balanced.
Preparing and circulating Purchase Requisition Notes (PRN) and Local Purchase Orders (LPO) for awarded items.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Job Specification
For appointment to this grade, an applicant must have:
Certified Procurement and Supply Professional Part I (CPSP) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent with a mean score of C.
Professional work experience of at least three (3) years.
Proficiency in computer skills with relevant packages from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
