The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is a pan-African Centre of excellence in research for development and capacity building in insect science and its applications. Its mission is to help alleviate poverty, ensure food and nutritional security, and improve the overall health status of peoples of the tropics. The Software Engineer role is crucial for advancing icipe's 4-H paradigm (Environmental, Plant, Human, and Animal Health Themes) by establishing agile methodologies and delivering high-quality, secured, data-driven web software, specifically integrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) capabilities, adhering to standard software engineering principles.
The Software Engineers are expected to establish agile methodologies that meet standard software engineering principles in delivering high-quality data-driven web software (with GIS integrated) that will meet icipe’s 4-H paradigm (Environmental, Plant, Human, and Animal Health Themes) expectations.
