This role involves leading a team responsible for providing comprehensive support to BBC Media Action
eternational country offices. This support spans critical areas including programme design, quality of delivery, donor compliance, and logistics. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with regional directors and country teams globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with country and cross-country teams to ensure project delivery and compliance, contributing to project design and securing necessary support from internal and external technical specialists.
- Manage individual and team performance through direct line management of programme support team staff.
- Foster and enable the flow of support between country offices; and assist country teams in accessing advice and support from cross-country functions.
- Drive improvements in processes and systems to enhance the efficiency of project delivery while strictly adhering to all editorial, finance, legal, HR, and other organizational requirements.
- Contribute to organizational knowledge sharing and policy development. Identify and propose new ideas, opportunities, and partnerships to influence regional and global strategy.
- Support the collection and dissemination of best practices from projects across different regions and facilitate knowledge sharing connections among countries.
- Play a vital role in identifying and addressing organizational barriers that hinder effective programme delivery and help connect country teams with expertise across BBC Media Action and the wider BBC.
