Zamara is a leading financial services firm in Kenya with over 23 years of experience, offering Actuarial Services, Pensions Administration, Consulting, and Insurance Brokerage Services. This role involves managing the end-to-end lifecycle of retail retirement products, ensuring they are compliant with regulations, commercially viable, and well-supported by internal operations and external service providers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Scheme Governance & Compliance
Prepare for and ensure the smooth running of Retail pension schemes according to regulations and Zamara standards.
Maintain record-keeping for all division documents, including contracts, policies, licenses, and agreements.
Ensure all relevant scheme policies and contracts are up to date and properly serviced.
Undertake daily administrative tasks to coordinate departmental activities.
Coordinate with external and internal service providers to ensure timely delivery of scheme objectives.
Ensure the success of scheme events such as Board of Trustee (BOT) meetings, AGMs, SGMs, and Member engagement days.
Product Management
Develop and maintain product checklists to ensure effective management.
Facilitate the continuous development of tech-enabled product toolkits.
Ensure Financial Advisors and Product Specialists are well-trained and equipped to distribute retirement products.
Coordinate internal teams to ensure a standardized and holistic product experience.
Work with the Marketing team to ensure all Retirement Product collateral meets required standards.
Commercial & Operational
Continuously update Product-Client Analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
Manage the billing and collection of product fees and revenue; ensure service providers are paid on time.
Assist in developing and maintaining product commercials (monthly and periodic).
Ensure all relevant product commissions are calculated correctly and paid out on time.
Ensure Product Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented correctly in conjunction with operations teams.
Address and close all audit queries and operational issues according to company standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Retirement Scheme Administration & Relationship Management.
Good knowledge of Zamara retail solutions and products.
Strong business acumen.
Relationship building and networking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
