The Senior Manager Oil, Gas & Extractives is responsible for defining and executing the Oil & Gas MSME sector strategy in alignment with the Retail Division and overall MSME ecosystem agenda. The role focuses on driving growth by analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and ensuring strategic alignment across internal stakeholders and delivery channels.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the Oil & Gas MSME sector strategy in alignment with the Retail Division and MSME ecosystem agenda.
Analyze sector trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to inform business decisions.
Oversee and develop the Oil & Gas MSME team, ensuring appropriate resourcing, capability building, and high performance in delivering sector objectives.
Collaborate with product, digital, and marketing teams to design and refine competitive sector-specific financial solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
Ensure strong risk management and compliance with all regulatory, prudential, and operational standards relevant to the Oil & Gas MSME portfolio.
Monitor financial performance, customer satisfaction, and market share to ensure sustainable growth and continuous improvement.
Support and guide sales and service teams in delivering the Oil & Gas MSME sector offering.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Branch network and Digital teams to ensure seamless delivery of sector solutions.
Identify and proactively manage sector-specific risks, ensuring effective monitoring and timely corrective action.
Drive customer migration to optimal channels, supporting efficiency and customer convenience.
Develop and manage the Oil & Gas MSME sector budget and financial targets.
Ensure timely reporting on sector performance, highlighting key trends and insights.
Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree: From a recognized university (Required).
Professional Qualifications: Project management or business field (Added Advantage).
Master’s Degree: Business Administration (Added Advantage).
Experience
Total Experience: Minimum of 7 years of total experience.
Sector Experience: 7 years of proactive selling skills in the oil and gas industry or relevant sector (Required).
Credit Underwriting: 5 years of Credit Underwriting Skills (Essential).
Relationship Management: 7 years in Customer Relationship management (Essential).
Banking Operations: 2 years of experience in Banking Operations (Desirable).
Research & Development: 4 years in Business research and product development (Added Advantage).
Project Management: 2 years in Project management (Added Advantage).
