Job Description
DIB Bank Kenya Limited (DIBBKE), a subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC (AE), is seeking a Senior Manager for the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP). The role holder is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines on Capital Management, ICAAP, and Stress Testing. This involves the quarterly assessment of capital requirements and measuring all financial risks to prepare Risk Management Committee (RIMC) and Board Risk and Investment Team (BRIT) presentations.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Planning & Monitoring: Prepare capital planning as per internal projections and monitor these under baseline and stress scenarios.
Pillar II Implementation: Coordinate with stakeholders for the implementation and reporting of Pillar II as per best practices, including economic forecasting and stress testing.
Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with external stakeholders, auditors, and regulators for Basel reporting and keep updated with the latest guidelines.
Management Reporting: Prepare reports for senior management detailing capital ratios and other risk areas as per internal reporting requirements.
Risk Limit Monitoring: Monitor capital risk limits against internal and regulatory limits.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with Finance, IT, and RMD to streamline data processing and prepare for internal and regulatory reporting.
Stress Testing: Develop and perform scenarios and stress tests for Capital and provision management at the group level.
Islamic Banking Knowledge: Develop an understanding of Islamic products and regulations.
Model Development: Develop models required for executing ICAAP and stress testing.
Team Leadership: Review team performance and deliverables in line with approved KPIs.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all tasks are executed within approved policies, procedures, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in BCom Finance, Accounting, or Actuarial Science.
Experience: Minimum 7-8 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Reporting.
