Job Description
As a Senior Analyst (SA) within BCG's Social Impact Practice Area, you will help win, deliver and execute highly impactful donors and philanthropic-funded international development projects in low and middle-income countries. You will collaborate and partner in a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights for the development sector with a specific focus on supporting BCG to win and execute programs for large bilateral donors, multilateral donors and foundations. You will serve as a thought partner by developing content that can be leveraged for BCG tenders and programs and contributing to the management of tender processes and programs for BCG. You will work across sector positioning, business development, knowledge management, and project delivery. You will play an active role in shaping the intellectual property, market perspectives, and commercial strategy of BCG’s Development Impact offer.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining and growing a knowledge library of BCG capabilities, tools and experience across key topics in the Development Impact sector.
Productizing and creating IP contributions by converting insights and experiences from projects into specific knowledge assets.
Managing and contributing to bids in the development sector with clients such as EU, FCDO, World Bank, ADB, AfDB, and DFAT.
Liaising closely with BCG central client teams to support bid processes including pre-positioning, partner engagement, and tender responses.
Managing and contributing to program execution, providing industry insights to build strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality reporting.
Delivering original analysis and customized insights for sector positioning, business development, and client projects.
Supporting BCG teams and clients to achieve development impact and commercial objectives through research and analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred) in Economics, Political Science, Business, International Relations, or related areas.
2+ years of consulting experience in international development, or 3+ years minimum industry experience (4-6+ years strongly preferred).
Strong business development and project management experience on donor-funded programs (World Bank, FCDO, USAID).
Experience with EU proposals is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a global collaborative environment.
Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to organize documents and data into logical systems for quick access.
Proficiency in telling a structured, clear, and visually engaging story to tailor content for different audiences.
