This is a full-time, on-site role for a Security Officer located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of company premises, personnel, and assets. Daily tasks include conducting regular patrols, responding to security incidents, maintaining surveillance systems, and controlling access to the facility. The Security Officer will also assist in reporting and preventing potential risks to create a secure working environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of company premises.
Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) to ensure consistent protection.
Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
Control access to the facility for staff, visitors, and assets.
Maintain detailed documentation of all security-related activities and incidents.
Assist in identifying, reporting, and preventing potential security risks.
Coordinate with other staff and security personnel to maintain order and safety.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a BA/BSc/HND is preferred.
Certifications: Additional certifications in security or safety are considered a plus.
Experience: A background in security operations or related fields is preferred.
Technical Skills: Ability to monitor surveillance systems, conduct security checks, and manage access control.
Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to remain alert in high-pressure situations.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and regulations is an advantage.
