Reeds Africa Consult is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a team of four field sales representatives in their daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting sales goals, forecasting, itinerary planning, and reporting on daily progress. This role involves strategic planning to expand the company's customer base and maintaining a strong market presence within assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, recruit, set objectives, coach, and monitor the performance of the field sales team.
Strategic Planning: Design and implement strategic sales plans to expand the company's customer base and territory footprint.
Sales Management: Forecast sales, plan itineraries, and report daily progress, revenue, and expenses to the management team.
Relationship Building: Build and promote long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and partnering with them.
Market Analysis: Identify emerging markets and market shifts while monitoring competitor products and status.
Negotiation & Support: Participate in high-level negotiations and support the team in closing strategic deals.
Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of the sales team.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytic tools.
Sales Competency: Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and techniques with a track record of achieving targets.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Leadership: Strong ability to motivate a team and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data to make informed strategic decisions.
