Smollan is an international retail solutions company looking for a GA Trade Development Representative to support Safaricom operations in Kenya. Reporting to the Team Leader-Indirect Sales, the position holder will be responsible for direct and indirect sales acquisition, revenue generation, development and management of relationships, and service experience of SME Customers to ensure growth, profitability, and retention in the region. The position holder will further work with relevant stakeholders within the region to execute relevant segment-led sales strategies for our client.
Key Responsibilities
Meet overall revenue and acquisition targets by identifying and winning new businesses centered on Enterprise solutions.
Develop and manage relationships with customers within allocated territories to drive education and awareness of Enterprise solutions.
Achieve set revenue targets for the territory/region through selling all Enterprise solutions.
Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline to ensure target achievement.
Monitor Gross Adds targets and activate relevant sales channels within the region.
Identify and profile all businesses in the territory, maintaining an up-to-date database.
Develop and implement effective route plans covering the assigned territory.
Identify market opportunities and submit detailed addressal reports.
Proactively attend to customer-related issues to ensure excellent service ratings.
Build and maintain long-lasting business partnerships with customers.
Ensure 100% accuracy in reporting market intelligence and competitor feedback.
Submit territory reports and account profiles in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
Honors Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, or a related field from a recognized university.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in selling enterprise solutions, either directly or through partners.
Experience in managing indirect channels in a telecoms environment is a distinct advantage.
Strong business acumen and the ability to work under pressure.
Team player with a pleasant, outgoing personality and resilience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Proficiency in the local language of the area of operation.
