Smollan, an international retail solutions company, is seeking a GA Business Sales Consultant to support Stanbic Bank (Kenya). The primary objective of this role is to drive business growth by identifying, onboarding, and managing SME clients while providing tailored financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve defined sales targets.
Client Relationship Management: Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Internal Collaboration: Work with other bank departments to ensure seamless customer service and satisfaction.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and the business code of ethics, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions requirements.
Product Uptake: Drive the adoption of SME solutions such as transactional accounts, lending, investments, insurance, and trade solutions.
Feedback & Resolution: Collect client feedback on products, resolve customer complaints, and identify process improvement points through service breakdown analysis.
Lead Generation: Probe customer needs to position relevant bank products and log leads for future opportunities.
Key Performance Measures
Customer Growth: Successful onboarding of new-to-bank clients.
Financial Performance: Contribution to balance sheet and P&L growth through sales budgets and cross-selling.
Risk Management: Conducting due diligence and following strict KYC and AML guidelines during onboarding.
Process Improvement: Proactive identification and resolution of client pain points.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a business-relevant field (BA/BSc/HND).
Experience: Prior sales experience in Banking, Sacco, microfinance, or a similar financial institution.
Knowledge: Understanding of banking processes, procedures, and ethical codes.
Skills: Basic computer literacy, excellent time management, and high attention to detail.
