As a Sales Executive specializing in Logistics, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within the logistics industry. The role involves conducting extensive market research, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and providing tailored logistics solutions to meet customer needs. You will be expected to achieve monthly sales targets, manage client accounts from quotation to payment, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will stay informed about industry trends and ensure all activities comply with organizational standards and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Analysis
- Identify and evaluate potential prospects within the logistics sector.
- Research and analyze sales options to expand company market share.
- Conduct market research and customer surveys to identify requirements for current and future service offerings.
Sales & Client Engagement
- Sell logistics services by initiating contact and building relationships with potential clients.
- Provide customized solutions based on client-specific needs.
- Rigorously follow up on leads, quotes, and requests to secure new business contracts.
- Conduct regular client visits to maintain partnerships and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
- Achieve assigned monthly sales turnover targets.
Account & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term professional relationships with key partners and clients.
- Facilitate the timely resolution of any customer queries or issues.
- Oversee client accounts, including the preparation of quotations, invoicing, and managing payment dispatches.
- Assist in the negotiation of tender and contract terms that align with both client and company objectives.
Reporting & Compliance
- Compile and analyze data to prepare regular sales and activity reports.

- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
- Promote Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements within the scope of your role.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Diploma holders with extensive relevant experience in the logistics industry will also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, specifically within the logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
- A demonstrated track record of success in logistics or transportation sales with an existing pipeline and industry network.
- Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and client relationship management.
