Reeds Africa Consult (RAC) is recruiting a Sales Manager for one of its clients to sell Unified Email Collaboration solutions directly to strategic, complex key accounts. The ideal candidate will have significant experience selling complex software solutions to large enterprise accounts, typically managing up to 15 qualified large enterprise accounts from the IT software industry. Experience in an emailing company background is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Engagement: Establish relationships and engage at executive levels within assigned accounts to identify and sell E-Mail Platform products and services directly to the company’s most strategic, complex named accounts.
Relationship Management: Build up strategic contacts at CIO, Managing Director, and executive levels, ensuring strong customer interaction at the Senior Management level.
Sales Targets: Carry a revenue quota to meet or exceed sales targets and demonstrate continuous progress towards achieving account strategies.
Account Strategy: Identify, develop, execute, and maintain account strategies to drive adoption on E-Mail Platform products and services revenue within assigned enterprise accounts.
Internal Collaboration: Establish and maintain close relationships with internal Presales, Support, Marketing, and Management teams to leverage internal resources.
Reporting: Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales management and ensure accurate and timely forecasts in CRM.
Requirements
Educational Background: BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in solutions sales, with at least 3 years specifically in establishing strategic executive-level relationships with Global 1000 enterprise customers.
Professional Track Record: Demonstrated track record of establishing strategic executive-level relationships to position and sell software and services to listed companies.
Coordination: Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal marketing, technology, implementation, and product development teams.
Sales Skills: Strong consultative selling ability including critical questioning, listening, analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Business Case Development: Ability to develop and articulate compelling qualitative and quantitative business cases for IT solutions.
Cycle Management: Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles from beginning to end and close large deals with enterprise accounts.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to both technical and executive audiences.
