Iconic Plaza Hotel is a luxurious 5-star hotel located in the Heart of Nairobi, committed to providing impeccable guest experiences. We are seeking dedicated and professional Room Attendants to join our Housekeeping team. The Room Attendant role is pivotal in maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic appeal within all guest rooms and associated areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that every room is prepared meticulously to provide guests with a comfortable and pristine environment during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning duties in assigned guest rooms and corridors, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning windows/mirrors.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenishing towels and toiletries according to hotel standards.
- Replenish mini-bar contents and ensure all in-room amenities are present and functioning.
- Monitor and report maintenance needs, damages, or potential safety hazards within guest rooms immediately to the supervisor.
- Manage cleaning supplies efficiently and maintain organized storage areas and trolleys.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and report any guest concerns or special requests to the appropriate department.
- Adhere strictly to hotel policies regarding security, lost and found procedures, and guest privacy.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the position of Room Attendant, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualification: Possession of a BA/BSc/HND qualification is required.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is considered an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a team environment.
- Must be well-groomed, professional, and reliable.
- Must be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
