Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of their restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving profitability while creating a positive dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Experience & Service Quality: Ensure customer service standards are maintained.
- Staff Support: Managing staff in Front-of-House (FOH), maintaining staff records, providing leadership, managing discipline, and ensuring team performance.
- Operations Efficiency: Ensure seamless order-taking, service, and billing processes.
- Health, Hygiene & Safety: Familiarization with HACCP (Hazard, Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
Detailed Responsibilities
Customer Experience and Order Management
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally.
- Train and mentor FOH staff on customer interactions and product knowledge.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Supervise cleanliness of working area.
- Enforce compliance with HACCP (Hazard, Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards by FOH staff.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Report daily sales, customer feedback, and operational challenges to management.
Staff Support
- Ensure staff records are documented.
- Lead by example.
- Ensure documentation of staff disciplinary cases.
- Supervise FOH and ensure performance standards are met.
Operational Efficiency
- Ensure daily reconciliations.
- Ensure seamless order-taking, food service, and billing processes.
- Implement and track upselling strategies to boost sales.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage operations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, MS Excel/Word).
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
