Relationship Officers – Riverside Branch

Role Purpose\nAs a Relationship Officer at Sidian Bank, you will be responsible for managing client relationships to achieve set sales targets and wallet share. You will ensure sustained business growth and profitability in the assigned customer segment by selling, cross-selling, and up-selling the bank’s products while delivering excellent service and building long-term profitable relationships.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n#### Branch Strategic Input and Planning\n- Contribute to the branch operational plan by implementing individual business plans for growth.\n- Formulate personal initiatives to increase share of wallet from existing and new clients.\n- Prepare personal action plans aligned with the overall branch budget.\n\n#### Business Growth & Development\n- Achieve business growth targets for assets and liabilities, ensuring income and portfolio quality.\n- Focus on client recruitment, transactional income, and customer relationship management.\n- Monitor market activities and competitor offerings to ensure the bank reacts to changing conditions.\n- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policy, Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) guidelines, and the Banking Act.\n- Proactively manage Portfolio At Risk (PAR) as a trusted advisor to customers.\n\n#### Marketing & Brand Management\n- Build the Sidian Bank brand to ensure it is top-of-mind for enterprise banking.\n- Provide direction based on market analysis of local consumer trends.\n- Establish relationships with key clients and business influencers in the local area.\n\n#### Relationship Management & Customer Experience\n- Drive customer satisfaction and advocacy to achieve organic growth.\n- Meet set customer satisfaction scores (CSAT), Net Promoter Scores (NPS), and Engagement Scores.\n- Minimize customer attrition by offering relevant solutions and responding to complaints promptly.\n- Identify financial and non-financial requirements of High Net Worth (HNW) clients.\n\n#### Branch Operations & Risk Compliance\n- Support branch operations and act as a custodian when required.\n- Ensure all onboarded customers meet AML/CFT/CPF guidelines.\n- Monitor transactions for unusual patterns and document suspicious activities.\n- Maintain accurate KYC data and update profiles for high-risk accounts including PEPs.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- Academic Background: University degree in a relevant business discipline (Business Administration or Finance).\n- Experience: At least 4 years' experience in retail and/or commercial banking, including a minimum of 2 years in sales.\n- Professional Certification: Diploma in Banking (AKIB) is an added advantage.\n- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of CBK regulatory framework and regulations impacting corporate customers.\n- Skills: Strong leadership, marketing, sales, and management skills; effective communication; and relationship building.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should visit the Sidian Bank recruitment portal to submit their application.
