The Relationship Officer – Consumer Business role is dedicated to growing the consumer loan and liability book through retail customers, corporate schemes/partners, Government institutions, Developers, and other relevant partnerships. This position requires a proactive individual capable of establishing strong customer relationships and driving sales results within the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Growth: Drive sales budgets and targets through the branch sales team to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong customer focus with internal and external customers, including Employers, Government institutions, and Insurance companies.
- Strategic Partnerships: Enter and manage key partnerships with stakeholders in the consumer lending segment and participate in relevant industry forums.
- Internal Coordination: Facilitate sound relationships with internal channels such as the Branch network, Marketing units, and Head Office departments.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively engage customers to establish service levels, initiate constant improvement, and keep clients informed on the progress of their applications.
- Compliance & Risk: Adhere to consumer lending product profiles, Credit Policies, KYC, and AML legislation. Identify and address fraud-related activities to minimize risk exposure.
- Advisory: Conduct needs analysis to identify customer requirements effectively for new accounts or product advice, ensuring full disclosure of repayments and fees.
- Market Research: Research industries of existing and potential clients to understand contextual threats and opportunities.
- Portfolio Management: Maintain a high-quality lending book through prudent management and timely assessment of existing facilities.
- Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly management information reports to all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Education: Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ working experience in the same position.
- Specialized Experience: 3 years’ experience in banking, with at least 2 years in Business development (Personal Banking/Consumer lending) and customer relationship management.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of MSME banking products, policies, lending products, and prudential guidelines.
- Skills: Self-driven with excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Certifications: AKIB banking certificates will be an added advantage.
