About the Role
Mediamax Network Ltd. is the fastest growing media Company in Kenya comprising K24 TV, People Daily (PD), Milele FM, Kameme FM, Kameme TV, Mayian FM, Meru FM, Pilipili FM, and Emoo FM. We are seeking Regional Multimedia Fact-Checkers based in Turkana. The role involves creating and producing multimedia content across various formats including video, audio, and text, while ensuring the highest level of accuracy through rigorous fact-checking.
Key Responsibilities
Content Production: Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from assigned regions.
Verification: Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content.
Collaboration: Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area.
Brand Contribution: Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands.
Monitoring: Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to produce multimedia content.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Swahili (knowledge of the local language in Turkana is an added advantage).
Core Competencies: Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
