Job Description
Mediamax Network Ltd. is the fastest growing media Company in Kenya comprising K24 TV, People Daily (PD), Milele FM, Kameme FM, Kameme TV, Mayian FM, Meru FM, Pilipili FM, and Emoo FM.
As a Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker based in Garissa, your primary purpose is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of information reported from the region. You will be responsible for creating high-quality multimedia content across various platforms while maintaining rigorous fact-checking standards to support Mediamax's diverse media brands.
Key Responsibilities
Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from the assigned Garissa region.
Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content to maintain editorial standards.
Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area to ensure cohesive coverage.
Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands including television, print, and radio.
Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues relevant to the region.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Proven ability to produce high-quality multimedia content.
Fluency in English and Swahili (knowledge of the local language is an added advantage).
Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
