Role Overview
Mediamax Network Ltd., the fastest growing media company in Kenya (comprising K24 TV, People Daily, Milele FM, Kameme FM, and others), is seeking Regional Multimedia Fact-Checkers based in Samburu. The successful candidates will be responsible for gathering and verifying news from the region to ensure accuracy and high-quality storytelling across all Mediamax brands.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation: Create and produce high-quality multimedia content including video, audio, and text from the Samburu region.
Fact-Checking: Verify information and ensure the absolute accuracy of all content before publication.
Editorial Collaboration: Liaise regularly with the central Editorial Team regarding activities, breaking news, and feature stories within your area.
Brand Contribution: Develop and contribute versatile content tailored for various Mediamax brands including television, print, and radio.
Regional Monitoring: Monitor and report on local news trends, emerging issues, and community concerns within Samburu.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years’ professional experience in content production or journalism.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to produce multimedia content (shooting/editing video and audio).
Language: Fluency in English and Swahili is required. Proficiency in the local Samburu language is an added advantage.
Core Competencies: Strong fact-checking, research, and narrative storytelling skills.
