The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development invites qualified, experienced, and dynamic individuals to apply for the position of Regional Coordinator/Deputy National Coordinator. This role is based within the Regional Programme Coordination and Management Unit (RPCMU) in Kisumu.
About the Role
The mandate of the Ministry is to ensure 100% Food and Nutrition Security and to improve the livelihoods of rural Kenyans by transforming the sector to be competitive, commercially oriented, and responsive to the economic needs of the country. As a Regional Coordinator/Deputy National Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing regional programmes that align with these national objectives.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage regional programmes within the RPCMU framework.
Assist the National Coordinator in overseeing program implementation and strategic alignment.
Ensure that regional activities contribute effectively to the ministry's goal of food and nutrition security.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to transform the agricultural sector into a commercially oriented industry.
Provide administrative and dynamic leadership to the regional team.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Relevant academic qualifications and professional certifications as outlined in the detailed job descriptions.
Practical experience in program management or agricultural coordination.
Demonstrated ability to lead dynamic teams and achieve sectoral goals.
