Job Description
Role Overview
The County Government of Kakamega is seeking 26 Programme Sub-County Coordinators to lead and manage program activities within their respective jurisdictions. This role is central to ensuring that county initiatives (specifically under the County Youth Service and Women Empowerment Programme) are implemented effectively, goals are met, and local operations run smoothly. The coordinators will serve as the primary link between the program management and the sub-county level stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the planning and coordination of programs and their associated activities.
Monitor the implementation of programme goals to ensure they are on track.
Ensure the smooth running and coordination of the programme in various areas of jurisdiction.
Coordinate programme communication within the sub-counties.
Oversee the development of programme deliverables.
Monitor action plans and processes to ensure efficiency.
Support programme growth and development where necessary.
Attend staff meetings and take minutes as required.
Delegate tasks to appropriate team members.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a resident of Kakamega County.
Possession of a BA/BSc/HND from a recognized institution.
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills for staff management.
Excellent client interpersonal skills.
An innovation mind-set with skills in management.
Exceptional time management abilities.
Proficiency in process management and improvement.
