The Production Intern role involves providing essential support to Production Supervisors in organizing and executing activities related to production processes. This support is crucial in ensuring that the workflow is efficient and that all tasks are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination: Communicate planning schedules to supervisors for both day and night shifts to ensure proper resource allocation and timely goal achievement.
Database Management: Upload details of new job orders into the Access database for machine loading and workflow management.
Material Tracking: Request materials for each job and track their issuance from the store through the SAP system.
Dispatch and Monitoring: Transfer completed jobs to the dispatch department and follow up on print jobs from start to finish until dispatched.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate monthly reports on material consumption and conduct monthly stock take reports to maintain accurate inventory records.
Inventory Assessment: Conduct monthly assessments of work in progress and take inventory of materials on the production floor, creating detailed reports on material availability.
Status Tracking: Generate status reports for jobs pending completion, detailing progress and remaining material requirements.
Administrative Support: Verify contractor invoices against services rendered, organize the generation of Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), and create Good Received Notes (GRN) for outsourced jobs.
ERP Maintenance: Follow up on material requisitions through the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure prompt issuance and avoid production delays.
Miscellaneous Coordination: Coordinate and acquire miscellaneous items necessary for production and monitor their usage.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Printing Technology from a recognized institution.
Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet production demands and deadlines.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
