Role Summary\nThe Product Owner (PO) owns and manages the product backlog, refining requirements, and ensuring product development efforts deliver maximum value to the business and end-users. The role bridges the gap between business needs and the development team, contributing to clear prioritization, stakeholder collaboration, and successful product delivery throughout the agile lifecycle.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n#### Backlog & Requirements Management\n* Maintain a transparent, prioritized, and continuously refined product backlog.\n* Collaborate with stakeholders and users to gather requirements, translating them into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.\n* Ensure backlog items meet the principles: Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small, and Testable (INVEST).\n\n#### Prioritization & Planning\n* Assist in prioritizing user stories based on business value, customer needs, and technical constraints.\n* Participate in backlog refinement sessions and sprint planning to ensure alignment with release goals and capacity.\n\n#### Agile Delivery Support\n* Actively engage in agile ceremonies — stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\n* Provide clarity to the development team on requirements and priorities.\n* Monitor sprint progress and help resolve blockers related to requirements or priorities.\n\n#### Acceptance Criteria & Validation\n* Collaborate with the development team to define acceptance criteria for all user stories.\n* Participate in sprint reviews to validate completed stories against agreed criteria.\n\n#### Release & Documentation Support\n* Assist in release planning by documenting confirmed features, known issues, and upcoming priorities.\n* Ensure release documentation is accurate and available for stakeholders.\n* Understand CI/CD principles to support efficient deployment cycles.\n\n#### Stakeholder Engagement\n* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team to gather feedback and clarify requirements.\n* Support product demos and provide updates on product progress.\n\n#### Continuous Learning & Improvement\n* Proactively develop skills in agile product management practices, tools, and domain knowledge.\n* Seek opportunities to optimize processes for better delivery outcomes.\n\n### Behavioral Competencies\n* Values collaboration and promotes transparency across teams.\n* Seeks continuous improvement in self and team performance.\n* Takes ownership of tasks and outcomes.\n* Always considers business and end-user impact in decision-making.\n\n### Qualifications\n* BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.\n* Knowledge of agile product management practices and tools.\n* Understanding of software development lifecycles and CI/CD principles.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Turnkey Africa recruitment portal on BambooHR.
