Cytonn Investments is an investments and real estate company, with offices in Nairobi - Kenya and the DC Metro area - U.S. We are primarily focused on offering alternative investment solutions to global institutional investors, individual high net-worth investors, local institutional investors, and diaspora investors interested in the East-African region.
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Product Development & Service Design Intern. This role is designed for candidates who have a strong interest in financial technology and are eager to understand the intersection between technology and business operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the product lifecycle and enhancing the service delivery experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
Own and track the product development cycle from concept creation, development, pre-launch, and post-launch activities.
Conduct user research and identify innovation opportunities and trends in the industry to propose enhancements to stakeholders.
Understand user needs, create personas, map out the stages of their journey, and design service blueprints.
Collect and track client issues and pain points, collaborating with other teams to ensure they are resolved and closed.
Provide support to client-facing teams for quick resolution of client queries and engage with service providers to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
Document process requirements and conduct usability acceptance testing to ensure requirements are met.
Review current product features and process flows to recommend improvements.
Research and propose strategies to drive product uptake and performance.
Prepare daily and periodic reports showing product uptake, potential sales, and areas for client base expansion.
Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent) with good grades in math and languages.
A bachelor's degree with a minimum second-class honors. Candidates expecting to complete their degree work in the next few months are eligible if available for training.
Demonstrated interest in financial technology and a willingness to understand the intersection between technology and business.
Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a demanding environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adhere to deadlines and multi-task.
A team player with a strong work ethic.
A desire to take initiative and suggest process improvements.
Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated creativity and innovation in business.
