The Procurement Officer role reports directly to the Procurement Team and is central to maintaining the efficiency and integrity of the supply chain within the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
As the Procurement Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Tracking stock and inventory levels accurately.
- Seeking quotes and engaging in procurement activities.
- Updating and maintaining procurement trackers.
- Researching and evaluating vendor options.
- Verifying that procurement and inventory data is correct and precise.
Qualifications and Attributes

Candidate Attributes:
- A strong understanding of procurement processes, particularly within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in data entry.
- High fluency in using essential digital tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ambition for career growth in procurement.
- The ability to balance speed, accuracy, and efficiency in daily tasks.
- A strong sense of integrity regarding the importance of safeguarding the company against unfair pricing or mismanaged inventory.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (BA/BSc/HND).
- No less than 5 years of professional work experience overall.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in procurement and/or logistics work.
- Demonstrated work experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working for a company with over 100 staff members.
- Membership to the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
