This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacy Technician (Pharmtech) based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Pharmtech provides essential support to pharmacists in medication management and dispensing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
The Pharmtech will assist pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and managing medications, ensuring all prescriptions are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Core duties include:
- Assisting pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and managing medications.
- Ensuring all prescriptions are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining and updating accurate patient and medication records.
- Managing inventory levels and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
- Supporting customer inquiries.
- Upholding compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Licensing:
- Diploma or certificate in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and licensure with the appropriate regulatory authority.
- Candidates holding a BA/BSc/HND are also considered (as per original job field listing).
Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in preparing, dispensing, and labeling medications accurately.
- Strong inventory management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for assisting customers and coordinating with healthcare professionals.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory guidelines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or similar setting is an advantage.
