Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT)
The role of the Occupational Therapist at Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) in Moshi is to provide high-quality occupational therapy rehabilitation services. This includes counselling and education to CCBRT clients based on their needs, delivered both in the clinic and in community settings as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate must have a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy and must be a Licensed Occupational Therapist permitted to practice by the Medical Council of Tanganyika. The candidate must also be a member of the Association of Occupational Therapist in Tanzania. Essential practical skills include the ability to use electrotherapy machines and computer literacy. Good presentation skills, a pro-active attitude, and eagerness to work are also required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Swahili are mandatory. Additional specific trainings such as CP Management, Manual Therapy Certification, Communication Skills for Working with Patients/parents with Disabilities, Sensory Integration Therapy Training, and basic wheelchair knowledge are considered an added value.
