Embu University College is inviting applications for the position of Nursing Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care and maintaining clinical standards within the university's medical facility. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong clinical experience in a hospital setting and the ability to manage patient health records effectively.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients visiting the university health facility.
Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate, up-to-date health records.
Assist medical officers in clinical procedures and examinations.
Ensure compliance with the Nursing Council of Kenya standards and university health protocols.
Utilize relevant computer applications for health data management and report writing.
Maintain high levels of confidentiality and ethics in patient care.
Requirements
Must have a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Must have at least a KCSE C (plain) aggregate.
Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and possess a valid practicing license.
Have at least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Nurse in a busy hospital.
Possession of work experience in a Level 4 and above medical facility will be an added advantage.
Have good communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
Have a working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
