Role Overview\nThe Endoscopy Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The role involves assessing patients, assisting physicians during procedures, and managing post-operative recovery to ensure patient safety, dignity, and clinical excellence.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments before procedures to identify care needs and plan effective nursing interventions.\n* Verify patient readiness using checklists, confirming consent, IV access, and vital signs.\n* Ensure all endoscopic equipment is clean and in proper working order before starting procedures. Take accountability for the safe use, cleaning, and storage of equipment.\n* Assist physicians during procedures as a scrub or circulating nurse. Administer IV medications and fluids as prescribed.\n* Monitor patients continuously during procedures to ensure safety, stability, and dignity.\n* Provide specialized post-procedure care, assess readiness for discharge, and provide clear discharge instructions to patients and families.\n* Maintain accurate records of the patient’s condition, medications, and procedure details.\n* Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control practices and performing safety checks on oxygen, suction, and other unit equipment.\n* Manage consumables efficiently, practice judicious stock control, and ensure timely billing of used items.\n* Participate in continuing education, unit-based quality indicators, audits, spot checks, and clinical care program certifications (CCPC).\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n* RN from a recognized school of nursing or University.\n* Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya.\n* Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).\n* Demonstrated evidence-based knowledge of current practices in Medical-Surgical nursing.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified?
