
National Cancer Institute of Kenya
The National Cancer Institute of Kenya (NCI-Kenya) is a State Corporation established by the Cancer Prevention and Control Act, No. 15 of 2012. Its mandate is to provide oversight and regulation of cancer prevention and control in the country. Key functions include policy advisory, regulation of cancer care, maintenance of the National Cancer Registry, and promoting public education and research.
The Cancer Prevention and Control Officer II is responsible for delivering Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) services, as well as managing prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for cancer patients. The role involves securing oncology commodities and technologies, capacity building, cancer research, and maintaining the National Cancer Registry. Additionally, the officer will participate in the management of Regional Cancer Centres, conduct clinical trials, and support the establishment of the National Cancer Research & Reference Centre.
