The Network Security Engineer (L2) role at NTT Ltd is centered on effective management of standard and low complexity network security incidents. The incumbent will execute routine, repetitive tasks using readily available information and adherence to established standard practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify problems and errors as they occur and log such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
- Ensure that all hardware and software within the scope of the support contract operates optimally, and any performance issues and vulnerabilities are logged, investigated, and resolved.
- Liaise with all stakeholders, including the client IT team, to expedite the diagnosis of errors and problems and identify a resolution.
- Investigate all assigned support calls and identify the root cause of incidents and problems.
- Respond to and diagnose all alerts, escalating to a Senior Engineer when unable to resolve within the stipulated time.
- Ensure incidents are updated with progress and resolution details in a timely manner using the required platforms.
- Ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents and requests.
- Apply tools, techniques, and processes to track, log, report on, and correct configuration items, components, and changes.
- Investigate problems in systems, processes and services and assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
- Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary.
- Follow the required handover procedures to ensure service continuity.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years minimum working experience in a similar role.
- Certifications: Checkpoint Security Certifications (CCSA mandatory, CCSE advantageous, Harmony Specialization), Certification in Checkpoint Maestro (CCME), and Cisco Certification (CCNA).
