Job Description
VisionSpring is seeking a Marketing Analytics Lead to spearhead data-driven decision-making within its marketing and sales functions. This role is pivotal in understanding product performance, assessing the impact of marketing campaigns, and uncovering deep insights into customer behavior across global markets, including Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. The lead will work across departments (Sales, Supply Chain, IT, and MERL) to transform disparate data into actionable strategies that enhance VisionSpring's mission of providing affordable eyewear to those in need.
Key Responsibilities
Product Analytics
Map the analytical needs of internal teams regarding product performance.
Consolidate disparate data into a structured data model for comprehensive analysis.
Develop reporting dashboards for product sales KPIs to track new product introductions and performance.
Advise the IT team on system improvements for ERP and CRM to better capture key indicators.
Marketing Activity & Campaign Evaluation
Design and execute evaluation frameworks for B2B marketing campaigns to estimate ROI and impact.
Create data collection plans for B2C demand generation campaigns to ensure data quality and rapid insight generation.
Develop measurement frameworks for conversion, retention, and channel attribution across touchpoints.
Analyze market funnels to identify optimization opportunities.
Act as the primary analytical consultant for the Marketing & Communications (MarCom) team.
Market Research & Customer Surveys
Utilize customer-level databases to segment and understand diverse customer behaviors.
Establish benchmarks for market opportunity sizing (TAM), retail density, and social indicators.
Manage both internal and commissioned market research projects from design to execution.
Translate survey results, focus group discussions, and secondary data into go-to-market recommendations.
Resource Mobilization
Contribute to fundraising efforts by providing data-backed insights for funding proposals and donor reports.
Job Requirements
Experience: 4-5+ years of progressive experience in marketing analysis.
Database Skills: Proficiency in working with structured databases, data modeling, and dashboard creation. Experience with SAP or Salesforce is a significant plus.
Data Handling: Experience cleaning and transforming unstructured data (CSV, Excel) from multiple sources into analysis-ready models.
Product Analysis: Strong aptitude for volume tracking, customer value assessments, and core financial indicators like profitability.
Software Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills, PowerBI, and data visualization tools. Familiarity with statistical packages (R, SPSS) is beneficial.
Communication: Ability to distill complex data insights into clear written narratives and engaging presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
Sector Knowledge: Experience in both non-profit and for-profit sectors is desirable.
Regional Experience: Experience of working in Sub Saharan Africa and/or South Asia (India, Bangladesh) is desirable.
Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification in a relevant field.
