Role Overview
Pavago is seeking a Marketing Account Manager to serve as the primary link between the agency and its clients. This is a remote, full-time position based in Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, executing marketing campaigns, and providing strategic insights to ensure long-term client success. We are looking for someone proactive, solution-oriented, and highly organized to manage multiple accounts effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
Manage communication across multiple channels including email, Slack, WhatsApp, and video calls.
Lead regular client meetings to discuss progress, gather feedback, and align on marketing priorities.
Maintain strong, trust-based relationships, ensuring clients feel supported and informed.
Marketing Campaign Execution
Build and manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp.
Write and edit compelling email copy, manage audience lists, and schedule campaign deployments.
Monitor campaign performance metrics and provide detailed reporting to clients.
Website & Content Management
Update and manage website content on WordPress or other CMS platforms.
Ensure client websites remain accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current marketing initiatives.
SEO Support
Conduct basic SEO research and audits using industry tools like Ahrefs or Semrush.
Support keyword research and track search performance improvements over time.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Analyze marketing campaign performance using Google Analytics (GA4).
Translate complex data into clear, actionable reports and insights for clients.
Workflow & Project Coordination
Collaborate with leadership to understand client expectations and strategic priorities.
Convert client feedback into clear action items and track progress to completion.
Ensure all account tasks are organized and delivered on schedule.
AI & Productivity Integration
Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to enhance research, content creation, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing account management or client-facing marketing roles, preferably within a marketing agency or client-service environment.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing marketing tools such as Mailchimp, WordPress, Ahrefs or Semrush, and Google Analytics (GA4).
Project Management: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Client Relations: Experience working with executive-level or high-profile clients is preferred.
Collaboration: Comfortable using tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and various messaging platforms.
Nice to Have
Experience with advanced marketing platforms like HubSpot or Klaviyo.
Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Express.
Familiarity with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads or Meta Ads.
