Cytonn Investments is seeking a Legal Intern to assist the department in managing various legal and corporate matters. The role involves supporting contract drafting, property conveyancing, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization's business units. This is an opportunity for law graduates to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced investment environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with reviewing, drafting, and revising a wide variety of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, customer and supplier agreements, and professional services agreements.
Support the development and continuous improvement of template agreements and legal processes.
Assist with corporate matters, including Real Estate conveyancing transactions, corporate governance, and facilitating business filings.
Provide strategic legal advice on business matters and product development.
Support compliance and legal risk management by researching statutes, laws, and other legal matters applicable to the company’s activities.
Maintain the department’s safes, various registers, and physical and digital documentation.
Collaborate with other departments as required to perform duties as assigned.
Requirements
A Second Class Upper Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized University.
Must have attained a B+ and above in O levels/high school.
Ability to pro-actively and creatively manage potential legal issues.
A team player willing to learn, adapt, and work with minimum supervision.
Excellent organization, administration, communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
High levels of energy and enthusiasm with the ability to work long hours under tight deadlines.
High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
Creative, commercial legal thinking and appreciation of the business aspects in the application of law.
Only candidates who are awaiting to join the Kenya School of Law (KSL) or have completed KSL and Pupilage shall be considered.
