The Railway Training Institute (RTI) is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced individuals to serve as Part-Time Lecturers in the fields of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Library Science. This recruitment is intended to populate the Institute's database of resource persons. Successful candidates will be engaged on a need basis to provide high-quality technical training and mentorship to students within the TVET framework.
Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and practical instructions in either ICT or Library Science subjects.
Prepare comprehensive course materials, lesson plans, and teaching aids.
Administer continuous assessment tests and final examinations to evaluate student performance.
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and offer academic guidance/mentorship.
Ensure all training activities comply with TVET and institutional standards.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
Mandatory Requirements
Academic Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field (ICT or Library Science) from a recognized university.
Professional Training: A Degree in Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a Diploma in Technical Education / Instructors’ Training Course.
Professional Status: Registration and/or membership with a relevant professional body.
Accreditation: Must possess valid TVET accreditation.
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years’ teaching or relevant industry experience at a comparable level.
