As a Laboratory Analyst at Tatu City, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of water and wastewater quality. Your role involves regularly taking or receiving water and wastewater samples, testing and analyzing results, effectively implementing necessary remedial measures, and enforcing water quality standards across the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and routine analysis of water and wastewater from sources, treatment facilities, and sewerage systems to ensure output meets stipulated standards.
- Investigate complaints or concerns related to water quality and initiate corrective actions to address identified challenges.
- Oversee routine laboratory operations and maintenance, ensuring the facility remains in good working condition and maintains certification standards.
- Support the development and implementation of water and wastewater quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with the WATSAN (Water and Sanitation) and other project teams to operate, maintain, and develop strategies for water and sewerage projects.
- Ensure efficiency in project implementation while maintaining 100% water and wastewater quality.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing water and sewerage systems.
- Keep accurate records of laboratory activities and provide timely reports on the status of activities and requirements.
- Actively promote the company’s safety practices within the workplace.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least 5 years of proven work experience in a similar position (Laboratory Analyst in water/wastewater).
- Proven working knowledge of quality assurance procedures, controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of the principles and procedures of water treatment and distribution, as well as wastewater treatment and collection.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools for laboratory management, data analysis, and reporting.
- Possession of relevant professional licenses or certifications.
