The Mirema School, a Christian-based primary school offering the 2.6.6.3/8.4.4 curriculum, International British Curriculum & Special Needs Curriculum, is currently seeking a qualified Junior School Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching at the Junior school level, specializing in Integrated Science, Mathematics, and Pre-Technical Studies.

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Pre-Technical Studies in accordance with the national curriculum.
• Develop subject-specific schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional materials to support effective teaching and learning.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning styles and academic needs of learners across the three subjects.
• Collaborate with fellow subject teachers and the curriculum coordinator to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and assessments.
• Provide clear explanations of concepts, practical demonstrations, and real-life applications particularly in Pre-Technical and Integrated Science lessons, to enhance learners' understanding and interest.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, with related subject area specialization.
• 5 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Valid TSC registration Number.
• Valid certificate of good conduct.
