The role primarily focuses on managing local procurement, stock levels, and material issuance for a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging and labelling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Manage and maintain accurate stock levels across all warehouses and stores.
- Lead regular stock reconciliations, cycle counts, and full inventory audits.
- Analyze inventory reports to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and recommend actions.
Procurement and Receiving
- Oversee local procurement processes, including supplier negotiations and purchase order management.
- Supervise material receiving, inspection, and issuing processes.
System and Data
- Ensure inventory records accurately reflect stock movement in the ERP system.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Sales, and Procurement teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
Warehouse Operations
- Drive improvements in warehouse layout, material handling, and storage practices.
- Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Training
- Provide training and mentorship to junior store personnel.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in inventory management, stores control, and procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Mandatory Skills: Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) is mandatory. High level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Other Skills: Good understanding of inventory control principles, strong analytical skills with attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
