The Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA) is a state corporation established under the Micro and Small Enterprise Act No. 55 of 2012. Domiciled in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives, the Authority intends to onboard ten (10) youth under an Internship Programme to gain practical, on-the-job experience for a period of twelve (12) months. This initiative aligns with the Government Youth Initiative aimed at developing a pool of skilled young talent for the Kenyan labour market.
Role Overview
The internship provides a platform for fresh graduates to apply academic knowledge in a real-world environment focused on the development and regulation of micro and small enterprises. Participants will be integrated into various departments based on their specialization to support the Authority's mission.
Responsibilities
Gain practical on-the-job experience within specialized departments.
Support daily administrative and operational activities.
Assist in the implementation of programs targeting micro and small enterprises.
Contribute to team projects and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Must be a fresh graduate with a Degree or Diploma.
Must be under 35 years of age.
Areas of specialization: Business related or Social Science specialization.
Integrity, goal-oriented, dynamic, self-driven, and diligent individual.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team player.
Important Information
The internship duration is twelve (12) months.
