CrossBoundary is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join the CrossBoundary Energy (CBE) Operations team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting daily operations, maintaining and redesigning internal systems, and managing office operations in Nairobi. It is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to gain real-world operational experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment within frontier markets.
Responsibilities
Data Operations: Support the Data Operations team in maintaining up-to-date information for all CBE contacts, accounts, and leads using Microsoft Dynamics.
AI Integration: Trial new AI tools with the IT team, including bots and agents for use by the internal team and on CBE sites.
Office Operations: Support daily operations in the Nairobi office, including quality management of facilities.
Systems Management: Manage the backstage reorganization of CBE SharePoint and the design of the CBE intranet, including document management systems, file naming protocols, and archiving processes.
People Operations Support: Collaborate with the People Team to develop the CBE induction process, covering training and office-specific orientation.
Protocol Development: Work with the People Team to develop site and/or project-specific protocols and guidance.
Policy Updates: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to update key documents such as policies and the employee handbook.
Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Mindset: A self-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change within emerging markets.
Adaptability: High tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to operate effectively in a changing context.
Problem Solving: Enthusiastic problem solver with an analytical and creative brain.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
Relationship Building: Ability to build strong relationships with partners and colleagues in challenging environments.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel) and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Projects) is desirable but not mandatory.
